Recently, members of PWTransit’s handyDART drivers in Prince George, BC, teamed up with some of their transportation clients for a delightful afternoon of fun and bonding.
Drivers Tracy, Brenda, Kim and Susan organized a weekend afternoon of bowling with clients from AimHi. This local community group provides housing and job support to people living with developmental disabilities and youth with special needs.
The outing was highlighted by some strikes, spares, snacks, a few gutter balls, and plenty of fun and laughs. The event highlights a special bond that handyDART drivers foster in their community; the AiMHi clients love their handyDART drivers, who help transport them to programs and events around the city. Judging by the thoughtful outing planned by Tracy, Brenda, Kim and Susan, the love goes both ways. Some of the drivers also brought their family members as well.
The attendance of so many transit team members and their families at this event speaks to our drivers’ dedication to their clients. In fact, the Prince George team is already planning other outings with some of their other clients.
Excellent community spirit, Prince George handyDART team!
